Hey Readers!

Hello, there readers, friends, arch nemeses, etc..!
If you are reading my blog, you must be at least a little interested in the life of a retired super villain. You must be taking a double-take at this moment, and be thinking to yourself, “Villains blog?” Well, I am no longer a villain, I’m far too old for my bad ways. I was in my prime too many years ago for my to practice that life style any longer and I am trying to get accustomed to the ever changing ways of technology.
My first step was learning about computers. It wasn’t until recently that I realized that there is even such thing as DSL, which apparently allows you to have internet virtually all the time! Imagine that?! When I was growing up we had books, magazines and the occasionally radio show. The kids these days have it all.
Anywho, if you don’t already know who I am I am Linda Earney. If that name doesn’t ring a bell at all yet, maybe the Belt Buckler does. Yes, I am the infamous Belt Buckler, the famous cat burglar. Back in the day, I was able to steal not only the hearts of heros and every day civilians alike, but also their money, gems and jewels.
I have since retired to more quiet ways like playing MahJong and watching the Golden Girls and now blogging and learning about computers. I refuse to be a person of the older generations who are stuck in the stone age and don’t know a single thing about technology, but in no way am I someone who is “up-to-date” with it all.
Well now that you’re at least a little bit acquainted with me, I’ll begin telling you about my day. I apologize now if I digress to flashbacks of my days full of crime and youth, I just miss certain things about those years so much.
This morning waking up was quite the task, I felt my bones aching a little more than usual. Another reminder of my age and how limiting time is. I’m thinking of getting into some exercising techniques. The women in my housing complex all go down to the community pool to do this thing called, “Waterobics” It seems a bit silly, but interesting. I guess I’ll give it a try, it apparently helps your muscles and bones greatly. I’ll try anything if it makes me feel a little younger and healthier.
This all reminds me that I have to see the doctor for the general check up. I remember being young and in shape, I was quite the looker. Everything sat where it was supposed to, my skin wasn’t saggy, nor was anything else. My looks were my super villain powers, really! I was able to distract any bank guard, tie him up, and get away with items that filled vaults quicker than anyone could remember. I guess I am paying for my crime with how my appearance has taken a turn for the worse. But hey, I guess that happens to everyone way before they reach 77.

Thanksgiving is coming up this weekend, my mother and father, Judy and Mike, passed away some time ago and since I was such a flirt back in the day, I never seemed to settle with one man and start a family at all. Unfortunately for me, I am all alone for the holidays, except for my cats. Every one of my friends here who I play mahjong with are having their kids and grandkids visit them for the holidays. One of them, Lorraine, invited me to come over, which is sweet of her, but I’d hate to intrude. I think I’ll have a quiet afternoon and watch the old parade, it reminds me of my days in New York...
Sometimes I wonder what it would be like if I hadn’t chosen a life of crime, I guess its too late now. I mean, I was never exactly captured and imprisoned, but relationship-wise, I would probably have a full family with grandchildren, which can make you feel a bit warm, even the thought of it.
I must head out to go food shopping, I’ve ran out of rice pudding and must stock up on some more, I hope you’ll be reading more of my blog!
